Today is Father's Day and I am so grateful for all the fathers in my life. My dad is the first man I ever loved and looked up to. He has been such an example for me to follow throughout my life. He has taught me so much and has always been there when I needed him! I love him so much and appreciate him making time to spend with my brother, sister, and I and creating so many fun memories! The next father in my life is my father-in-law. I am thankful for his kindness and how he has welcomed me into his family. He treats me just like one of his daughters which makes me so happy! Last but not least is the love of my life and the father to our baby girl. Casey is such an amazing dad to Avery. He loves that girl so much and she lights up anytime he talks to her or plays with her. It's the cutest thing ever! He is such a hard worker for our family and helps out so much with Avery. This saying says it all: I never knew how much I loved your Daddy until I saw how much he loved you. For Father's Day, I got him some new yard working gloves and made him a little picture on foam board from Avery!

Mother's Day & Memorial Weekend
It was my first official Mother's Day since I was pregnant last Mother's Day. I am so grateful everyday to be a mother. It is seriously the greatest blessing I have ever been given. There is no greater feeling than when I get her out of her crib in the morning and she has the biggest smile on her face while she waves her arms up and down with excitement. She reminds me of the important things in life and that is family. I had an amazing Mother's Day thanks to my husband and my baby girl!
For Memorial Weekend, my side of the family met up at Duck Creek in Cedar City to go camping. It was pretty chilly up the canyon where we were, but that didn't stop us from having a great time!

Already 6 Months Old?
My favorite girl is 6 months old! I know I know....every month I say the same thing, "I can't believe she is ___ months old." But seriously I can't believe it! Every memory of her life is still so detailed in my mind that it seems like it just happened...being at the hospital, seeing her for the first time, watching Casey hold her, taking her home, staring at her nonstop, and laughing at every sound or move she made. Our life revolves around her and she definitely has us wrapped around her little finger. I wouldn't want it any other way!

Easter Fun
Easter weekend was a lot of fun! We hung out with family the whole weekend which is exactly how we wanted to spend it. This was Avery's first Easter and I think she loved it! Casey's sister let me borrow her "My 1st Easter" outfit. I am obsessed with the little bunny hat.
Sunday afternoon we went out west with Casey's family to hang out! It was the perfect day!
Sunday night the grandkids went on an Easter egg hunt. Avery didn't really understand but I helped her get a few eggs.
Saturday afternoon we spent some time with Casey's mom's side of the family.
Saturday night we hung out with my family and went to church with them the next day. My brother's family came up from St. George for Easter. It was fun seeing them!Sunday afternoon we went out west with Casey's family to hang out! It was the perfect day!

Yard Work
Gosh I can't believe my last post was back in February! Here's a run down on what's been happening with us, and of course an overload of pictures of Avery. I love looking back at old posts and seeing how much she has changed!
Casey has been working crazy hard on our house. He is quite the handyman! When we bought our house, the concrete back porch was all cracked. Casey tore up the porch and it looks so much better. Eventually we want to put a little deck back there so it's nice for the concrete to be gone.

The next project he tackled was the garage. He had to mud and sand it before he could start painting . I love how it turned out!
The project currently happening is renovating our yard. It definitely struggled! We got it excavated then my dad, Casey, and his dad put in sprinklers. We still need to get the curbing done then we will put down sod.
Casey and I went on a date to Noodles and Company then went to BYU vs Washington game afterwards. It was fun to get away and have some time alone, even though I missed my baby girl!
Avery has been growing like crazy. She is eating baby food once a day, rolls over from her belly to her back, and figured out she has feet. I finally put her on a schedule and it has been so much better. She takes about 3 or 4 naps a day and then goes to bed at 9:00 and wakes up once during the night to eat. She is such a happy baby!
