Fun Times in December

December has been a lot of fun! Avery's blessing day was December 9th. It was such an amazing day. We were able to be with our families which was the perfect way to spend the day!
We had a luncheon after the blessing and got to visit with everyone.
It finally snowed! We weren't sure if we were going to have a white Christmas but we definitely did! Casey shovels the driveway about three or more times a day.
This is what I do while he is outside in the cold. I drink hot chocolate!
About a week ago, there was the BYU bowl game on tv so of course we all wore Cougar gear that day! I am obsessed with this picture of Casey and Avery in the BYU outfits. I just love them!!

The Big Move

I can't believe how fast December has flown by. The biggest change for our family is that we bought a house! We moved in December 1st. I felt so overwhelmed after unloading all of our things and unpacking all the boxes. We had stuff everywhere and I had to figure out where to put everything. The hardest part was how to decorate the living room and where to hang our pictures. After a few days, we were finally all settled in! It's so nice to finally have our own place.
Another big change is that I finished my student teaching and am officially done with college! I graduated from Utah Valley University with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.
The second weekend in December, Casey and I went with his parents to Vegas for the National Finals Rodeo. It was a lot of fun being able to go to the rodeo two of the nights! Casey's sisters offered to watch Avery while we were gone so she wouldn't be around all the smoke in Vegas. It was hard to leave her while we were gone! They made sure to send me pictures everyday.
Avery turned two months! I can't believe it. She has changed so much and is now out of the newborn stage. Sad! She is so cute and I love taking pictures of her!

Newborn Pictures

Avery got her newborn pictures done three days after she was born. My aunt took the pictures and did an amazing job!! She took a few family pictures also. Here are a few of them!

Oh How Life Changes

Casey and I aren't huge into Halloween but this year was so much more exciting for us because we got to be with Avery! She had a Halloween outfit throughout the whole entire day.
She wore her First Halloween outfit until it was time to put on her costume. We dressed her up in her costume and went to Jason's Deli to eat then went to Walmart to get some diapers. What an eventful Halloween! It was a lot of fun though because it was our first time going out as a family.

She looks so teeny in her carseat
Skeleton pajamas for bedtime
We had family pictures on Casey's side of the family. Everyone wore BYU tshirts which meant that Avery had to be in her BYU outfit. She was our little BYU cheerleader.
I just love my beautiful daughter! She has changed my life forever. I love how she curls right up when I pick her up. I could hold her all day.

Finally Here

My due date was October 18th. Our baby girl didn't want to come that day, which meant that October 18th was just another being pregnant day. I was student teaching at the elementary school while at the same time hoping and praying my water wouldn't break in front of a bunch of 1st graders. Luckily that didn't happen! The next night, Casey and I went to the hospital around 10:00pm because I was having contractions. The nurse monitored the contractions for an hour and said they weren't consistent enough so they sent us home and said to come back if they got worse. We got back to our apartment around 11:30pm and tried to get some sleep. My contractions were getting so strong and there was NO way I was getting any sleep. I only lasted about 45 minutes before I told Casey we had to go back to the hospital. Within about 20 minutes after being at the hospital, my water broke. I started pushing around 5:00am and Avery was born at 7:05am and weighed 7lbs 8oz and was 20 inches long.
It was such an amazing moment seeing Avery for the first time. It is amazing how much love Casey and I instantly had over this baby that is now ours forever.
I melts my heart when I see Casey holding Avery. He is so cute with her and is such an amazing father!
This is Avery's favorite way to lay
Casey and I love to just sit and stare at her! We are obssessed with her and love every yawn, sneeze, facial expression, and move that she makes. It's so cute how she already has her own little personality!
She loves to curl her little arms up and hold on so tighly to her binky. Then when it falls out of her mouth, she freaks out until we put it back in her mouth.
Sometimes she has drama moments
Avery puts so much joy into our lives! Casey and I are so blessed to be parents and to finally have our daughter here. I know we will make plenty of mistakes along the way but we are excited to learn and figure this parenting thing out together! We love our little family :)
