My due date was October 18th. Our baby girl didn't want to come that day, which meant that October 18th was just another being pregnant day. I was student teaching at the elementary school while at the same time hoping and praying my water wouldn't break in front of a bunch of 1st graders. Luckily that didn't happen! The next night, Casey and I went to the hospital around 10:00pm because I was having contractions. The nurse monitored the contractions for an hour and said they weren't consistent enough so they sent us home and said to come back if they got worse. We got back to our apartment around 11:30pm and tried to get some sleep. My contractions were getting so strong and there was NO way I was getting any sleep. I only lasted about 45 minutes before I told Casey we had to go back to the hospital. Within about 20 minutes after being at the hospital, my water broke. I started pushing around 5:00am and Avery was born at 7:05am and weighed 7lbs 8oz and was 20 inches long.
It was such an amazing moment seeing Avery for the first time. It is amazing how much love Casey and I instantly had over this baby that is now ours forever.
I melts my heart when I see Casey holding Avery. He is so cute with her and is such an amazing father!

This is Avery's favorite way to lay |
Casey and I love to just sit and stare at her! We are obssessed with her and love every yawn, sneeze, facial expression, and move that she makes. It's so cute how she already has her own little personality!
She loves to curl her little arms up and hold on so tighly to her binky. Then when it falls out of her mouth, she freaks out until we put it back in her mouth.

Sometimes she has drama moments |
Avery puts so much joy into our lives! Casey and I are so blessed to be parents and to finally have our daughter here. I know we will make plenty of mistakes along the way but we are excited to learn and figure this parenting thing out together! We love our little family :)
